Bernette B79 - Detailed product description

Bernette B79 - Detailed product description

The Bernette B79 is a machine that can both sew and embroider. The enormous 6 by 10 coop is the largest embroidery hoop provided with it. A needle at the back of the machine is 9 inches away from the lovely 5-inch LCD touch screen. It has a programmed foot pedal and a dual foot pedal built into the sewing side, so you can do different things by tapping the heel of your foot. Sewers won't have to work in darkness anymore. There are four brilliant LEDs that light up the stitching area, providing you with 230 mm of room to the right of the needle. You can have more comfort and room with the free-arm extension table for big quilting or sewing jobs. Next, you have all the wonderful, versatile knobs. The Bernette B79 has a lot of built-in embroidery patterns and a lot of free designs that you can print out. The toolbox contains embroidery software that can be used on both a PC and a Mac. With 35 quilting stitches and 133 ornamental stitches, any sewer can make very exciting embellishments. With the Stitch Designer functionality, you have the freedom to create new stitches or alter the ones that are already there. The Bernette B79 makes it very simple to align your designs on specific areas of fabric or place them above them. You can tell this machine exactly where on the design you want the hoop to go, and it will put a needle in that exact spot. The versatility of this machine will definitely impress everyone, especially the ease with which it handles a variety of fabrics, including light materials like silk chiffon or multiple layers of denim. Thread cutting and backstitching, which can be set to the exact number of stitches before cutting, are two more customizable features.

    Working on the Bernette B79

For the sewing side: The user interface of the Bernette B79 is the same as that of the other Bernette models, but it has a variety of built-in automated typefaces. The Bernette freehand system comes with a software program for embroidery made by Bernina. This program is in the toolbox. I found a significant difference while sewing velvet, both when using and not using the walking foot, and got impressive results when using the pressure of the presser foot. You can stop the seam from unraveling without having to stitch backwards thanks to its automatic tie-off function.
Simply press the tie-off button located at the terminus of the seam. The threads are then cut by pressing the thread cutter button, and there it is—your seam is complete.

For the embroidery side: On the side of embroidery, there are some more wonderful features. I personally enjoy the triple add-on zig-zag stitch, as my other machines do not have one. It has a completely integrated speed control meant for embroidery. When starting embroidery at the edges of a very heavy seam, the foot starts at a specified angle in the initial position and moves forward. As the foot descends, you press the tiny button that is on the left of the foot, which locks it into position for the seam to begin. Finding that was very enjoyable. The foot also has a clever feature that lets you “lock’ the foot horizontally, which is equivalent to starting a seam to that of a hump-jumper.

Presser feet included in the Bernette B79:

    • Applique embroidery foot
    • Automatic buttonhole foot
    • Zipper foot
    • Zigzag foot
    • Blindstitch foot
    • Button sewing-on foot
    • Free-motion Embroidery foot
    • Overlocking foot
    • Hopper Embroidery foot
    • Metal Hoop Embroidery foot

Want to indulge your sewing passion with the best sewing machine? The Brother SE1900 Sewing and Embroidery will do the honors. Plus, it has 138 built-in embroidery designs, a colorful touchscreen, and 240 sewing stitches. It would be a huge mistake to ignore this model.

    Pros:
    • The machine has 240 built-in stitches with 138 built-in embroidery designs, allowing you to be creative.
    • The sewing model permits you to transfer embroidery designs from your computer.
    Cons:
    • The machine is expensive.
    • The hoop size is not big enough to sew large projects.
Areas For Improvement: Manufacturers can improve the design editing software or maybe add more hoops for easier functionality.
