      1. Hi, Carol Joy –

Thanks for the suggestion. I took a look at the Gertie’s blog and find it very interesting. The clothes remind me of some of the things my mom wore back in the 50s and a few of the things I made for myself back in the 60s when I started making items to enhance my own wardrobe.

Her skills are great and her tips are spot on. I will definitely continue to visit the blog for better sewing in the future.

If you come across any other blogs that you think are interesting enough to share, please feel free to add them here.

        Happy Stitching.

    1. I have a Bernina Deco 600. I cannot get the bobbin thread to attach to upper thread. Machine always says upper or lower thread broken. Any ideas?

    2. I’m really very flattered to be included in your list, thank you!
I’d highly recommend Handmade By Carolyn, she’s a fellow Aussie and the scope of her skill is second to none, she takes amazing photos and writes great tutorials!

    3. Hi, Lizzy –

Thanks for visiting Sewing Insight. I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoy reading your blog. Thanks, also for recommending Handmade by Carolyn. I will definitely look her up.

BTW – I plan to do an update on this listing of my favorite blogs sometime before the end of the year.

      Happy Stitching!

    4. Can anyone recommend a website to share grievances and complaints about sewing, manufacturers, and sales? I’ve contacted a couple companies about their products and policies over the past year and received absolutely no response from any of them. I would really like to know if I am the only one having problems like these and if not, maybe someone else can help me. Thanks in advance.

      1. Vernelle, thank you so much for the lovely thingsyou say about me in this post. I totally agree that one can feel friendship for someone in the blogging world without ever meeting themand I feel that way about you too. I guess as Anne Shirley of Anne of Green Gables would say, “We are kindred spirits” God Bless !
